General Terms and Conditions (AGB)

The General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all programmes offered by Hohner-Konservatorium GmbH Trossingen. The GTC are recognised upon registration.


Registration and authorisation

Once registration has been received, interested parties will be notified of their admission to a training or further education event or will be informed in writing of the current status (e.g. waiting list, missing documents, cancellation, etc.). Registration for in-service training courses or multi-phase further training courses is valid for the entire course or all work phases of a further training course. Registration only becomes binding once payment has been received.

Change or cancellation before the start of an event

The Hohner Conservatoire reserves the right to cancel a course at short notice or postpone its start in the event of insufficient demand. The same applies to course cancellations due to the unavailability of a lecturer or due to force majeure (such as a pandemic). In such cases, participants will not incur any costs. Fees paid in advance will be refunded in full. No further claims may be brought against the Hohner Conservatoire. The Hohner Conservatoire reserves the right to make adjustments regarding the content and schedule of individual continuing education events, as well as the participation of speakers and guest lecturers.

Participation fees

For all events, courses, training and further education programmes as well as workshops and festivals, the participation fees stated in the respective announcement apply.

Method of payment

Payment is made either directly when ordering via Paypal or by bank transfer. The participation fee must be transferred within 14 days of registration, stating the order number. Participants must pay any bank charges or transfer fees themselves. Participants will receive confirmation of receipt of the participation fees in writing (e-mail). With this confirmation, the interested party is bindingly registered.

Upon registration, the participation fee or the separately designated registration fee is payable. This renders your registration binding. The conservatory reserves the right to allocate the seminar place elsewhere if the participation fee has not been received in due time. Cooperative events with other institutions may deviate from this policy. In these cases, the conditions of the respective event organiser shall apply.

Accommodation

The Hohner Conservatory does not provide accommodation and it is not possible to book accommodation through the Conservatory. However, the Hohner Conservatory can provide recommendations and assistance in finding accommodation.

Cancellation

Cancellation must be made in writing. The date of receipt by post shall be deemed the date of termination. The participation fee must be paid in full even if individual events or parts of further training courses are not attended or are missed.

Cancellation conditions

For the festivals "Akkordeon Grenzenlos" and "Harmonica-Masters-Workshops", the following cancellation conditions apply: A cancellation fee, based on the participation fee, will be charged according to the following rates:

- free of charge up to 30 days before the start of the event - from 30 days to 14 days before the start of the event: 50 % of the participation fees - From 14 days to 8 days before the start of the event: 80 % of the participation fees - Thereafter: 100 % of the participation fee The following cancellation terms apply to all other programmes offered by the Hohner Conservatoire (such as online training courses, workshops, etc.): A cancellation fee, calculated as a percentage of the participation fee, will be charged at the following rates: - Free of charge up to 14 days before the start - From 14 days to 2 days before the event: 50 % of the participation fee - From 1 day before the event: 100 %

Data protection

The Hohner Conservatory collects personal data upon registration and processes it to fulfil its tasks. The participant consents to the computerised storage of his/her data. In order to enable participants to form carpools, the addresses and telephone numbers will be passed on to the participants within a training course, unless this procedure is objected to. The further use of course materials must be agreed with the lecturer of the respective workshop or training course.

Liability

The Hohner Conservatory accepts no liability for personal injury, damage to property or financial loss, except in the case of grossly negligent behaviour on the part of the Hohner Conservatory. Damage and soiling to the building, premises, equipment and musical instruments caused by participants will be charged to them.

Reservation of utilisation

Participants transfer to the Hohner Conservatory the right to use the results of the work produced in the respective courses, seminars, workshops, etc.

Miscellaneous

The framework examination regulations of the Hohner Conservatory are an integral part of the GTC.

Sound and image recordings are only permitted after consultation with the participants and lecturers of the individual events of the Hohner Conservatory. The Hohner Conservatory reserves the right to create image and sound material for documentation purposes or for the public relations work of the Hohner Conservatory.

Audio and video recordings of examinations are generally prohibited. Smoking is prohibited in all rooms of the Hohner Conservatory in accordance with statutory regulations. The house rules of the Hohner Conservatory are binding for participants.

The specific regulations for the individual events stated in the invitations to tender are an integral part of the GTC.

Place of jurisdiction

The place of jurisdiction is Stuttgart.
