Eric Dann

At the start of the 2021/2022 academic year, Eric Dann begins his teaching activities for popular accordion (jazz, rock/pop, world music, folk music) at the Hohner Conservatory. In addition, Eric Dann teaches the subjects of arrangement, music editing/composition and accordion (advanced artistic development). 

Eric Dann is a jazz accordionist, born in Ehingen an der Donau in 1987, who lives as a freelance musician in Tuttlingen.

He completed his studies at the Hohner Conservatory (2013 state-certified music teacher in Rock/Pop/Jazz) and at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (2015 Bachelor of Arts major: Music Education, major: Jazz accordion). As a stage artist, Eric is versatile and active internationally with a busy concert schedule.

He is the accordionist of the band „Moi et les Autres“, the soloist of „A-Train“ (Landes accordion big band Hessen) and a sought-after guest musician. As a conductor, he leads several accordion orchestras and regularly publishes new arrangements and compositions for the accordion scene. Since 2020, he has been giving jazz accordion online lessons.

As of October 1st, 2022, Managing Director and Head of School at the Hohner Conservatory in Trossingen. Awards: 2011: 1st Prize at the Open Accordion Contest 2012: 1st Prize at the Schwäbisch Gmünd Accordion Festival 2014: 4th Place at the Coupe Mondiale (Artistic Entertainment Music)
