Michael Gracia Hernandez-Heger

Dozent Michael Gracia Hernandez-Heger für das Fach ergonomisches Arbeiten

Even during my vocational training at the vocational school for health and nursing, I developed a special interest in medical connections and the importance of exercise for health and quality of life. I initially deepened this interest in the course of my training in human physical therapy and am currently continuing it as part of my specialist training as a physiotherapist at the Medizinschulen Balingen. In addition, I attended the specialist training in preparation for the state medical examination to become a medical practitioner at the Paracelsus School and the Bildungswerk für therapeutische Berufe, in order to broaden my medical understanding holistically.

Parallel to my professional training, I gained practical experience over several years in a physiotherapy practice as a movement and sports therapist. In addition, I worked as a strength and conditioning coach in competitive and recreational sports as well as a lecturer and exercise instructor in the fields of prevention, self-defense, and movement. Through my professional positions in the public service, the security industry, during medical internships, and my freelance work as a trainer and lecturer, I was able to gain extensive experience in dealing with people of diverse ages and life situations. These versatile experiences continue to shape my practical and didactic work to this day.

My professional focus lies in the fields of physiotherapy, rehabilitation, medical training therapy, and prevention. In addition to my physical therapy training, I have completed numerous continuing education courses in the field of sports medicine, fitness, health, and rehabilitation sports, including qualifications as a fitness and health trainer, sports therapist, and various specializations in the field of medical movement therapy and sports rehabilitation. Continuous professional development is an essential component of professional training and future therapeutic work for me.

My goal is to convey medical and therapeutic content in a clear, practical, and scientifically sound manner. I place particular emphasis on an engaging teaching approach that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application and actively involves participants in the learning process. I am convinced that every person brings unique prerequisites, strengths, and learning paths. Therefore, therapy and teaching should always be tailored to the individual person. Only through individual support can lasting learning outcomes and the best possible development be achieved.
