The entry requirements are:
- intermediate school-leaving qualification
- Passing the entrance exam
Registration:
Once the application form has been submitted, we will contact the applicant as soon as possible. The next step is to submit the following documents:
- Curriculum vitae with a description of previous musical training
- 2 passport photos
- Current police clearance certificate (not older than 6 months)
- Birth certificate
- Proof of health insurance
- Proof of measles vaccination
- Language level B1 for foreign students
Start of lessons:
is based on the school timetable for the state of Baden-Württemberg
School fees:
(Valid from 11 March 2019)
€1,200 per school year
Financial support for education through BAföG may be available.

Information about the entrance examination
Term for the 2025/2026 academic year:
The entrance examination for the full-time training programme will take place on Friday, 27 June 2025 from 3 pm at the Hohner Conservatory.
The entrance exam consists of 2 parts:
1. Practical exam: audition (duration approx. 10 minutes)
2. Theoretical Exam: Aural Training and Music Theory
Requirements for the prelude:Takes about 10 minutes
Aural Training Requirements:rhythm dictation, naming intervals (up to octave), naming 3-part chords, naming scales, melody dictation
Music theory requirementsNaming intervals (up to octave), notating intervals, naming chords, notating chords, functional analysis, notating scales
